Filling in the Blanks Website Redesign

A website redesign for a nonprofit filling in the weekend hunger gaps for children in Connecticut and New York.
Agency: HelpGood

With rising costs and cuts to federal funding for crucial food programs, organizations like Filling in the Blanks have never been more critical. A nonprofit based in Norwalk, Connecticut, FITB has been providing weekend meal bags to local children for the last 12 years, and they’ve grown exponentially in recent years. In addition to the Weekend Meal Bag program, they host a Mobile Pantry nearly every Saturday to distribute food to families in low-income neighborhoods. They have established several in-school food pantries to allow older students the power of choice in what they eat, and every year their Holiday Backpack program provides children in the meal program with a new full-size backpack packed with much-needed items.

HelpGood has been working with FITB for several years, and with this rapid growth we saw the need for an updated website for our client. There was an opportunity to organize and consolidate information across the site, and establish a strong, clean design system to provide an efficient and enjoyable user experience.
